Holiday World

Gabe and I took Anakin & Stasia to Holiday World this week. My sister, Laura, and her family were camping at Rudolph Lake. She invited us to come up Monday night to stay with them and then Tuesday we went to Holiday World together. We had so much fun!! Laura and her family were still at Holiday World when we arrived at the park Monday night, so we played miniature golf till they returned.
The only not so good part of our vacation was the pull out bed. OH MY! The mattress was so thin, you could feel every bar in that bed. It was a sore, rough night of sleep, but we survived :) Thank you Laura & Chris for letting us stay with you, we had a blast!!
The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins. Gabe and I had such a great time just being able to relax and spend time with Anakin & Stasia. It was a great day!!

Anakin

made the front page!!
Stacey Franz brought me a copy of the Boonville Jr. League and there on the front page was my little man. Of course my mommy heart swelled with pride and my eyes got all misty. Anakin was very impressed with himself :) All night he kept tell me and anyone else who would listen that he "was in the newspaper" I love my little man and I am very proud of how well he did his first year playing baseball!! I LOVE YOU ANAKIN!!

(I did scan the picture but it wouldn't show up :(

"I Love Chocolate Pudding"

I am sure that's what she would say if she could.

I did give her a spoon but she used her hands to really dig in! My oh my, what a messy bug she can be :)

"Look Mom, A Spider!"

My #1 phobia is spiders.
This morning as I am putting the kids in the van, Anakin says "Wow there is a spider in here". I freeze and ask where, he points to the front seat. There, between the two front seats, is a spider web and a little yellow/brown spider about the size of my pinkie nail. I call Gabe out to show him the web, he likes spider webs...icky! After he comments on how cool it is, he cleans it out for me *shudders*
I finish getting the kids all seat belted in and open my door only to discover another web that is the full size of my door. There is no spider in this web so I clean it out myself (aren't I such a big girl :) *shudder some more*
As I am driving down our street, something flies in my window. Thinking it is a bee or something I look to my left and find myself staring at another yellowish/brown spider, this one is the size of my thumbnail!!! I scream, stop the car, put it in park, grab a magazine and smack the spider out of my van. This is not good enough for me. I am afraid that it just fell on my door and will climb back in on me ( I have had this happen to me and it wasn't a pretty) I get out of the van to make sure it isn't on my door. Door is all clear but I am not convinced that I am safe until I see the vile creature on the street, whereupon I crushed it's body!
I have felt spiders crawling on me ever since *still shuddering*

The story of a toe...

I took Sorsha to Dr. Fletcher today. Thankfully, all is well with her toe although it looks very bad right now. The skin is peeling and the new skin underneath is very pink. The blister area is dried up. The antibiotics seem to be working, very slowly. Dr. Fletcher was not happy with the choice made by the convenient care doctor to not drain her toe when I took her in Friday. He said she would have been spared alot of the swelling and pain if it had been drained that day. But despite the doctor bad choice, she is on her way to recovery and her toe should be back to normal soon :)

1. What is your first and middle name?
Trinity Starr

2.How did you get your name?
My dad wanted a daughter named Trinity since he was 12 years old (kind of a weird thing for a 12 yr old to want if you ask me :) and my mom came up with Starr ( I think drugs were involved)

3.What are your kid's names? How did you decide on your their names?
Anakin Sky, Anastasia Starr, Sorsha Adonai, Gabrielle Arwen.
Anakin Sky is named after Darth Vader from "Star Wars" ( his name before becoming Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker) Gabe likes Star Wars, I wanted a boy with the name Sky and I knew this would be the only way I would get that.
Anastasia is the name of a Russian Princess, her story is very interesting and has always fasinated me. Starr is my middle name and I wanted to share it :)
Sorsha is the name of the Princess in the movie "Willow". Adonai is God's name in Hebrew. While Gabe and I were separated, God promised me He would restore our marriage and we would have another baby. We named her Adonai to remind us always of God's promise kept.
Gabrielle is named after my husband Gabriel. Arwen is the name of the elf Princess from "Lord Of The Rings". (notice the common theme of movie names and Princess names? :)

4.Do you like your name?
Yes!

5.What was the most popular name (according to Social Security) the year you were born? (Click here to find out and then tell us the results!)
Michael & Jennifer

I tag...Heidi

My Bug And Her Fat Feet

Sorsha has some chubby feet. They are so chubby that shoes won't fit on them. They are too small and I have to stuff her feet in them or they are too big and she trips when she walks in them. Most of the time this doesn't cause too many problems, I just let her go barefoot, she likes that better anyways. But on Memorial day, while we are at Mom & Dad's house, she stubs her toe. Her toenail splits and starts to bleed, we trim the nail and put a band-aid on it. Thursday we notice that her toe is swollen and bright red but she won't let me look at it at all. By that night she is running a fever of 102.4 and the toe is now so swollen that it has split. So I decide that I will take her to Convenient Care Friday (Dr. Fletcher is out of the office on Fridays and so of course that's when she would need to see him :)
Friday when I get her dressed, not only is her toe still swollen, bright red and she still has a fever but now she has a rash on her chest and back...GoodNight!!
I call and cancel my 6 week checkup so I can take her in. And off we go.
Her toe is infected and that is causing the fever and rash so they put her on some antibiotics. Hopefully she will start to feel better soon!! It is so hard for me to see any of my kids sick, it just breaks my heart and I feel so helpless. She is a great patient though. You can tell that she feels awful but she is still my Sunshine-Bug, full of jabber, smiles and cuddles. What a day for my poor baby! I am going to have to find some shoes that will fit to protect those cute, chubby toes.
